New Shelter Partner - The Humane Society Of Allen County

We're proud to announce our new shelter partner - The Humane Society of Allen County, Ohio! HSOAC is dedicated to the elimination of cruelty, abuse, neglect and abandonment of animals. Visit them and view adoptable pets on their website.

HSOAC in their own words:

Our Mission - The Humane Society of Allen County (HSOAC) is dedicated to the elimination of cruelty, abuse, neglect and abandonment of animals. The Society will shelter animals in times of need, locate lifelong homes and promote responsible pet ownership through education, legislation and sterilization.

About The Humane Society of Allen County:

HSOAC is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal welfare organization that receives no federal, state, county or city tax dollars to support us. This means that they have no additional help outside of donations and contributions made by people who believe in what they do.

Besides the pets at the shelter, HSOAC runs an in-home foster program:

“We have various dogs and cats in our shelter that could greatly benefit from the foster program.  Through the foster program, you provide a loving home to one of the pets from the Humane Society.  We help you with food and vet expenses.  Some foster parents have decided to adopt their pet.  However, we will still actively search out a home for your foster pet during their stay.”

HSOAC has an interesting program called Seniors For Seniors:

“Seniors for Seniors adoption program is all about senior humans rediscovering the joys of having a cat or dog in their lives.  The program places senior cats and dogs (typically over 6 years of age) with senior citizens who are 60 years of age or older. We will help you select a companion who fits into your lifestyle and housing situation at a reduced adoption rate.”

The Boxiecat Shelter Partner Program is a co-sponsorship program that raises awareness for shelter initiatives and goals. The program allows Boxiecat to donate a portion of revenue toward the well-being of cats, and, at the same time, lend a hand in raising local and national awareness of shelter initiatives and goals such as adoptions and donations.
