How to fill, scoop, and maintain a cleaner litter box for longer.

  • Clumping litter should be scooped daily, which will help your Boxie litter last longer than most brands. On average, a 16 lb bag of Boxie litter lasts one cat about 30-40 days, depending on the formula, while a 28 lb bag can support two cats for a month, depending on usage and cleaning habits.

  • You should scoop at least once daily, and more frequently in multi-cat households, depending on how many litter boxes you have. This prevents odor buildup and encourages consistent litter box use.

  • You should have about 3–4 inches of litter depth to allow proper clumping and prevent waste from sticking to the bottom. This helps make sure you maintain a clean box for your cat’s health.
